Dave DeMarco is a fine art nature photographer whose love of making images began nearly 50 years ago. After a 25-year consulting career, he founded Osprey Winds to combine his professional experience with his passion for teaching, helping photographers grow in both technical skill and artistic expression.

    Online learning makes it possible to grow as a photographer from anywhere. Individual lessons focus on specific topics, guided assignments, and thoughtful critique. For a deeper experience, the Level-Up Program offers a four-week journey spread over three months, combining structured lessons, customized shooting assignments, in-depth critique, and time to ask questions and refine your craft.

    Field Sessions

    Learning in the field brings the advantage of real-time feedback, thoughtful guidance, and hands-on experience. Personalized field sessions offer three hours of focused instruction at locations throughout Rhode Island and nearby areas. Small group workshops through BlueHour Photo Ventures provide a collaborative and cost-effective way to learn alongside others, while one-on-one consultations offer fully individualized guidance on techniques, gear, and creative direction.
